San Francisco Cross Training



On Monday night the Nike Women’s Marathon Team spent the evening in the 30 degree heat of Central Park at a cross training session to prepare us for the hills of San Francisco.  Cross training included a series of 5 minute out-and-backs divided by sessions of squats, lunges, leg lifts, crunches, planks and a whole host of other pleasures... look how much dirt we collected while we were at it!  Yesterday, I was growing increasingly sore throughout the day, but no rest for the wicked- we were back in the park to run another 3.4 miles, this time focusing on lower arm swings.  Unfortunately stretching was cancelled due to the thunderstorm, and so last nights CPK fundraiser was a bit of a wash out!  We're hoping the weather stays nicer and that today is a better day!
